Internship project beneficiaries went camping at L’abri in Pietermaritzburg from the 13th to 16th of August 2019. The camp unfolded with the interns participating in various activities, such as fashion, mind games, fashion show and group discussions.
Khayalethu intern, Nkosingiphile Madlala said he had a great time and experience during the camp. He said the camp was empowering, educative and entertaining. “We were taught how to handle and deal with difficult situations. We also learned about the importance of team work in problem solving and reaching goals”, he said.
Madlala added that he enjoyed the games that were played. “The fashion show that required us to make outfits out of newspapers was amazing, it gave us an opportunity to be creative, work as team, share ideas and listen to each other”, said Madlala
