Gardening
The aim of the vegetable gardens within the various projects of YFC/KZN is to provide economic strengthening, skills development and nutritious food to children, youth and their families. We are grateful to receive seedlings donated quarterly from Sunshine Seedlings.
Gardening tools (water cans, spades, rakes and hand tools aswell as compost is needed) to prepare and maintain the gardens.
Sandwich programme
The Outreach Teams give sandwiches to young people living on the streets. This is a good way to meet them on the streets, and engage with them to build a trusting relationship. Sandwiches can be prepared and dropped off at our offices daily (Pietermaritzburg and Durban).
