Bridge, a project of YFC/KZN camped out with all their staff to reflect on the previous financial year and to discuss and plan for the upcoming financial year. The camp took place at Vuleka Centre in Bothas Hill on the 9th – 11th of October 2019.
The Bridge Project Director, Thulani Zondi said the team had an opportunity to strategise and share ideas on how they can expand the project and cater for children aged between 10 – 14 years. “We shared ideas and strategies on how the project can recruit the new age group. The team suggested that we target primary schools who are experiencing a high rate of teenage pregnancy in grade 6 and 7 and other social ills”, Zondi explained.
Junior Facilitator at The Bridge Project, Andiswa Mseleku said she enjoyed the camp and was excited in participating in the decision making processes and strategic planning for the upcoming financial year. “I am grateful to be part of the project that is progressive and maintains its objectives of giving hope and support to those who are vulnerable”, said Mseleku.
