Tennyson House has formed an association yet again with Weaver foundation also known as “Live Love Give” which was an unregistered charity at the time. This time around in support of the drop-in centres.
They have had a relationship with Tennyson House since 2018. Back in 2019 they identified Zinhle Ndlovu as a student with potential and drive to better herself and succeed in life. They undertook to sponsor her grades from Grade 10 to Grade 12 in form of school fees, books, school uniforms, stationary, excursions and school transport. Weaver foundation has supported ways from supporting year end functions, painting the library and to tutoring the girls. They now have committed themselves to spearhead a drive to assist he community drop-in centres to provide children with food and assist them with home works. ‘We will continue supporting the work of your organisation, we love what you do at Tennyson House and we would like to add value where we can and supporting selected girls with their education” Said Director of the Weaver Foundation Carmen Lofstedt. They have already started donating bread and canned fish every Monday to the drop-in centres. Most children do not get to have a meal when they get back from school so these donations are helping immensely in these children’s lives.
