The Hilton Baptist Church prepared and presented the “Christmas in a Shoebox” gifts to YFC/KZN Khayalethu and Tennyson House Aftercare beneficiaries. The purpose of the gifts is to instil and encourage the custom of giving and receiving during Christmas and to remember the great gift that God gave the world many years ago. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in him may not be lost but have eternal life”, John 3: 16.
YFC/KZN Marketing and Resources Mobilisation Officer, Katha Mkhize said the beneficiaries were excited and delighted over their Christmas gifts. She added that this shows and demonstrates the love and care that the communities and churches have for the beneficiaries. “We wish all our beneficiaries, parents, stakeholders and partners a peaceful and blessed Christmas season”, said Katha.
The “Christmas in a Shoebox” gifts consisted of toiletries, small gifts, clothing items, cards, stationery and treats.
