The Tennyson House Outreach closed the Bathing and Washing program on Wednesday, 5 December 2018. These beneficiaries come to Tennyson House twice a week to bath and wash their laundry.
The outreach project continue to make a difference in the lives of those living on the streets of Durban. Sipho Langa one of the beneficiaries of Washing and Bathing said, if it was not for the program his life would be worse than what it is now.” I cannot imagine my life without this centre. This is where I find hope and courage to change my life and reunite with my family. We get to sit with people who care and loves us despite the condition we live in. I hope that the program will continue to accommodate us even in 2019”, said Langa.
The Tennyson House Outreach Coordinator, Nonku Ndima said through the bathing and washing program they managed to reach and impact more children. “We appreciate the help and support that we received throughout the year from our stakeholders, partners and parents”, said Ndima.
